Producing both 5.5″ x 8.5″ 2-up booklets, and oversized 12″ x 17″ single-up wire stitched books, our Osako OT-329 “Duo” allows Printers, Trade Finishers, and Web shops the opportunity to engage the second Trimmer section with fixed 4th & 5th Knife at the push of a button. Jumping from 2-up work back to an oversized 1-up job is just as easy, with the second Trimmer’s yoke deactivated, or disengaged.

The Osako “Alpha” series offers an automation package within the Stitcher section, the Signature Feeders, the Line Chain/Rail section, and the Infeed section of the Three Knife Trimmer. Operators utilize our color touch screen console for computer guided make-readies, troubleshooting, and size format inputs. Tener Alpha models also include dual caliper — mechanical, and digital — monitoring; “downstream inhibit” for signature misfeed; synchronized start-and-stop technology to reduce signature waste; tilt back (or forward) feeders to better signature placement on the rail; and individual Becker pumps on each Rotary Feeder, or Cover Feeder for better air timing, displacement.
